Core Purpose of Role
Sitting within the 2LOD, the core purpose of this role is to support Cash Access UK’s risk management strategy which ultimately supports the safe and sustainable delivery of Cash Access UK’s strategic objectives. The role-holder would develop and manage the enterprise-wide risk management framework, including tooling, supporting policies, processes, registers and MI, and ensure these are embedded across the business. The role provides confidence to Senior Management, the Audit & Risk Committee and Board with regards to Cash Access UK’s approach to enterprise-wide risk management and provides assurance that the risks faced by Cash Access UK’s activities are identified, monitored, mitigated and reported in line with the organisation’s risk appetite.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

Deputising for the Head of Regulatory & Compliance Risk as required

Leading on the implementation and ongoing management of the new GRC software tool

Develop and maintain strong relationships across the business and with key stakeholders.

Oversight and management of the enterprise-wide risk framework, including risk policies and procedures, MI and risk reporting.

Management of the RCSA process ensuring that it is designed and operating effectively.

Supporting the development and maintenance of a positive risk culture aligned with Cash Access UK’s mindsets.

Supporting the Chief Risk Officer with the preparation of ExCo and Delivery Steering Group papers.

Providing 1LOD with support, advice and guidance on the identification and management of key risks as well as emerging and horizon risks.

Supporting risk and control owners in the identification and management of risks and development and maintenance of appropriate policies and processes.

Training, coaching and encouraging others in proactive risk management.

Providing ad hoc support to the Head of Regulatory & Compliance Risk as required

Excellent written and verbal communication

Ability to develop stakeholder relationships at all levels to inspire communication and trust

Ability to constructively challenge and support stakeholders at all levels and work collaboratively to identify suitable solutions.

Good project management capability linked to ability to execute efficiently and effectively

Risk management experience in identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring risks as well as control design and operating effectiveness experience.

Ability to manage ambiguity with curiosity, independence of thought, and proportionality to identify and mitigate key risks to support achievement of business objectives.

Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a dynamic cross functional team.

Strong analytic, organisational, and critical thinking skills with a high-level of attention to detail.
