Dinnington banking hub opens
A new banking hub in Dinnington is open in time for Christmas at 31-33 Laughton Rd.
The official opening will take place between 11am and 12pm on 20 December and Jake Richards, Member of Parliament for Rother Valley, will be in attendance to cut the ribbon. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The hub will offer a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. It also offers a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the hub. In Dinnington, the community bankers are available on the following days:
Monday: NatWest
Tuesday: Halifax
Wednesday: Santander
Thursday: HSBC
Friday: Barclays
Finding the right location for a banking bub that is convenient, accessible and works for everyone often takes time, so Cash Access UK is delighted to have been able to secure convenient premises in the heart of the community. Our team has been working hard to fit out the premises over the past few months in preparation for the opening.
This is the fourth hub to open in South Yorkshire following New Rossington, Thorne, and Wath Upon Dearne.
Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: “I’m happy to announce the opening of our Dinnington hub, ensuring crucial access to cash and face-to-face banking services for both residents and businesses across the community. Customers can visit on any day of the week for their everyday banking transactions and if you have a specific or more complex enquiry for your bank, a Community Banker will be there to help on the day they’re in the hub.”
Jake Richards MP: “I’m delighted that the Dinnington banking hub is opening. This will be a vital asset for the community here - and I’m pleased the government have announced plans for further banking hubs across the country. I’ll be making the case for such hubs in Wickersley and Swallownest, where too many residents are without local banking services.”
