Brixham Banking Hub the first to open in 2022

Published on 2 December 2022

On 2 December 2022 Brixham became the first community in the UK to benefit from a new shared Banking Hub following a landmark agreement reached by 9 of the UK’s major banking providers.

We were delighted to be joined by Anthony Mangnall MP, who officially opened the Hub, as well as local residents, representatives from our Member firms and our delivery partners. Refreshments were kindly provided by The Chart Room First Class Coffee Lounge.

The Brixham Hub is a shared banking space at 62 Fore Street. The Hub offers a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks and building societies can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday. The Hub also offers a Community Banker service where customers can talk to their own banking provider about more complicated issues. The Community Bankers will work on rotation, with a different bank available on each day of the week.
