New Banking Hub opens in Abertillery
Abertillery’s new Banking Hub is now open in its temporary home: inside Ebenezer Baptist Church, Park Place.
The temporary Hub will be open five days a week and will remain available until the new permanent Banking Hub opens. It offers a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. It also offers a Community Banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the Hub:
While the temporary Hub is up and running today, Cash Access UK can confirm it is currently working to secure a permanent home for the Banking Hub. In the coming months, we will provide updates and the Hub opening today will remain open until the permanent Hub is up and running. Local residents can also check for updates on our website.
This is the 6th Banking Hub to open in Wales with other Hubs due to open in Flint, Monmouth, Morriston, Mountain Ash and Risca.
Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK: “I’m happy to announce that our temporary Banking Hub in Abertillery is now open. Residents can now enjoy access to cash and face-to-face services once again. We’ll be able to provide an update to the community on a permanent location for the Hub soon.”
